Visit Southport  - Visit Southport is the local council Tourist Information Center's website and is a great place to start your discoveries. Here you can find local event listings and book tickets for the Council run Theatres and events. 

Visit Liverpool  - Visit Liverpool is an alternative resource to get all relevant tourist information about the area, local activities and events. 

TripAdvisor - TripAdvisor is a great place to surf over. Here you can find unbiased reviews and useful recommendations from travellers. Plus you can interact with other people and directly ask questions that interest you. 


MerseyTravel - Travelling by public transport? This site has all the information for local Bus, Train and other transport services. 

Stagecoach  - The site to be on if you want to find out the most up to date timetables for national and regional Stagecoach buses. 


Arriva - Local bus company that run most of the local bus services.

Fox and Goose – If you are a big fan of live music, you simply cannot miss this one out! Fox and Goose is Southport’s premier Commercial music venue with the best live music around. And the great news is – they are open till 4 at weekends!

Silcock Leisure - Funland just across the road. How amazing is that? A perfect place to kill some time and dodge the glorious British weather. Plus, a very beloved place for kids!  

Southport Pleasureland – Visit one of the UK’s best valued theme parks and create some unforgettable memories with your close ones. The park has a wide variety of rides for all ages, a family arcade, indoor and outdoor performance areas, stalls plus many food and drink outlets. 

Southport Little Theatre – Looking for something more intellectual? Why not checking some plays at Southport Little Theatre? Yes, it is small, but fantastic venue indeed!  

Atkinson Arts Venue, Gallery and Library – To continue with intellectual theme, another great place to visit is the Atkinson Arts Venue, Gallery and Library that is run by the local Council. Here you’ll be able to find a wide range of activities, as well as an opportunity to use local library services. 

Southport Theatre & Convention Centre - This venue is owned by Sefton Council and is managed by Ambassador Theatre Group. It provides many shows and hosts large conferences throughout the year. Pop in and have a nosey. 

British Lawnmower Museum - Yes, such a museum does exist! If you want something unusual, this might be the place to be! The location has been on TV shows throughout the World and has 300 restored exhibits that include both Prince Charles and Princess Diana Lawnmowers!

Vue Cinima – Fancy watching a movie? The local multiplex cinema is just a few minutes’ walk away from us.

Royal Birkdale Golf Club - One of Britain’s finest golf clubs renowned for hosting many of the Open Golf Championships. Check them out to see the upcoming events.  

Southport Old Links Golf Club - Despite not being the biggest or best known golf course in Southport, it is still one of the oldest courses in the UK. Worth visiting! 

Hesketh Golf Club - An 18 hole links course, located on the edge of Southport's Town Centre.
Southport & Ainsdale Golf Club - A stunning golf course that is set amongst ranges of tall sand hills and smaller sand dunes, the Course is a true test of golf for all golfers.

Southport Yacht Club – Always wanted to learn how to sail? Take a look at Southport Yacht Club! These guys are based on the Marine Lake, in Southport and are offering different levels of training opportunities! 

West Lancashire Yacht Club - This sailing club runs an international 24 hour sailing endurance Race for sailing dinghies! If you still haven’t seen it – this is a must! 

Southport Football Club - A semi-professional association football club based in Blowick, Southport. On their official website you can find the club’s fixtures, photo galleries, live video and audio, player statistics and much more!

Southport Rugby Football Club - The team is an English, Rugby Union Club, playing in the Northern Division and the South Lancashire and Cheshire Devision 1. Check out their official website for more information about the club. 

Southport Model Engineering Club - This Club was found in 1978 and has developed into one of the best in the North West. The club has 2 dual gauge tracks on Rotten Row, Southport, that is ⅓ of a mile long! Over the summer the club often takes both children and adults for rides around the track, pulled by model steam engines!
